Rose was also an active member of her community. In her retirement, she worked as an assistant bookkeeper for the Town of Lloyd. Rose enjoyed a long career with Dutchess County Department of Social Services, and during her tenure there, she was the president of Dutchess County CSEA Local 814. She was the daughter of Barbara (Lauria) Trapani and the late Alfonse Trapani. Rosemary was born on May 5, 1944, in Poughkeepsie, NY.
